TOURISM PURPOSES

Foreigners, who come to Turkey for tourism purposes with visa or visa exemption and stay in Turkey more than their visa period, should apply for a short-term residence permit.

FOREIGNERS WHO ARRIVE FOR BUSINESS PURPOSES

Foreigners who wants to start their business in Turkey, make trade investments or wants to establish trade connections and stay in Turkey more than their visa period, should apply for short-term residence permit

FOREIGNERS WHO OWN IMMOVABLE PROPERTY IN TURKEY

Foreigners who own immovable property in Turkey and stay more than their visa period should apply for short-term residence permit.

FOREIGNERS WHO INTEND TO RECEIVE MEDICAL TREATMENT

Foreigners, who come to Turkey with visa or visa exemption and stay in Turkey more than their visa period, depending on their medical treatment should apply for short-term residence permit.

FOREIGNERS WHO COMPLETED THEIR HIGHER EDUCATION IN TURKEY

Foreigners, who receive education, may obtain short-term residence permit within six months after the completion of their education (Associate, undergraduate, graduate or postgraduate programme).

TRANSITION OF FAMILY RESIDENCE PERMIT

Foreigners who cannot meet the requirements of family residence permit, for example;
In cases of divorcing from Turkish spouse or if the sponsor cannot meet the conditions, foreigner who will stay in Turkey can apply for short-term residence permit.

FOREIGNERS WHO WILL ARRIVE TO CONDUCT SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH

Foreigner who will conduct a scientific research in Turkey may obtain a two-year short-term residence permit in the first application upon their requests and if they meet the conditions.

FOREIGNERS WHO ARE REQUIRED TO STAY IN TURKEY PURSUANT TO A REQUEST OR A DECISION OF JUDICIAL OR ADMINISTRATIVE AUTHORITIES

On the basis of the decision taken by the courts of Republic of Turkey or depending on the decision of the administrative authorities, foreigners may obtain a one-year short-term residence permit.

FOREIGNERS WHO ATTEND A TURKISH LANGUAGE COURSE

Foreigners who will attend a Turkish language course, depending on the duration of the course, may obtain a short-term residence permit.
