DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR FAMILY RESIDENCE PERMIT
After a family residence permit application is made to the Directorate General of Migration Management, the documents supporting your application should be included in the file together with the general documents requested by the Directorate General of Migration Management.

What are the common documents?

Residence Permit Application Form (signed by the foreigner or the legal representative)

The original and photocopy of the passport or a passport substitute document (photocopies of the pages containing identity information and the page containing photo and processed pages)

Four (4) passport photograph (within the last 6 months, against a white background and biometric)

Valid health insurance (The insurance period must cover the requested residence permit period.)

What are the common documents requested from the sponsor?

The original and photocopy of passport or a passport substitute document (For refugees and people under subsidiary protection, passport or a passport substitute document containing identity information and the page containing photo and processed pages)

Original and photocopy of identity card (for Turkish citizens)

Original and photocopy of residence/work permit document, Blue Card documents, identity card for refugees or people under subsidiary protection (for non-Turkish citizens)

Declaration of sufficient and regular financial means for the duration of the stay (with e-signed/signed)

A valid health insurance covering all family members (The insurance period must cover the requested residence permit period).

Criminal Record from their country (It is advisable to request your certificate at least 3 months before the application in case you have a long waiting) or from Turkish legal authorities, if you are staying in Turkey for more than 5 years. If these documents have obtained from Turkish Authorities they must be e-signed/signed and stamped/sealed; if obtained from foreign countries, they must apostilled and have notary public certified translations.

Document stating the registration with the address based registration system (e-signed/signed and stamped/sealed received from provincial directorate)

Approved parental consent declaration is requested in case of absence of either mother or father (in case of death, other spouse must present death certificate). If these documents have obtained from Turkish Authorities they must be e-signed/signed and stamped/sealed; if obtained from foreign countries, they must apostilled and have notary public certified translations.

Approved guardianship document for the child is required in case of divorce. If these documents have obtained from Turkish Authorities they must be e-signed/signed and stamped/sealed; if obtained from foreign countries, they must apostilled and have notary public certified translations.
