Documents for Short-Term Residence Permit
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR SHORT-TERM RESIDENCE PERMIT
After a short-term residence permit application is made for the first time to the Directorate General of Migration Management, according to purpose of the residence permit, the documents regarding the purpose of the stay in Turkey should be included in the application file together with the general documents requested by the Directorate General of Migration Management.

What are the common documents requested for short-term residence permit?
After the short-term residence permit applications made the following documents must be attached to your application file, together with documents to support your purpose of stay in Turkey.

Residence Permit Application Form (signed by the foreign and/or legal representative)

The original and photocopy of the passport or a passport substitute document (photocopies of the pages containing identity information and the page containing photo and processed pages)

Four (4) passport photograph (within the last 6 months, against a white background and biometric)

Declaration of sufficient and regular financial means for the duration of the stay (declared in the Application Form. The administration may request supporting documents)

Valid health insurance (The insurance period must cover the requested residence permit period)

Criminal record (It is not compulsory but the administration may request it, if it is necessary)
Address of stay in Turkey:

A notary public approved copy of your rental agreement, if you are staying in a rental house with a rental agreement (Copy of title deed, current letter from the Land Registry Office, numbering letter from the Municipality)
For children:

Passport or a passport substitute document or birth certificate is requested, if mother and father cannot be identified on the national identity card

Approved parental consent declaration is requested in case of absence of either mother or father (in case of death, other spouse must present death certificate).

Approved guardianship document for the child is required in case of divorce.

If the person is under eighteen years old, consent declaration given by mother/father or legal representative is requested.
If these documents have obtained from Turkish Authorities they must be e-signed/signed and stamped/sealed; if obtained from foreign countries, they must apostilled and have notary public certified translations.
What are the documents of short-term residence permit related to the purpose of stay?
Those who will arrive to conduct scientific research:
Visa obtained from the foreign representative offices of Republic of Turkey (For those who conducting excavation and survey projects) Official, e-signed/signed and sealed/stamped document showing the duration and location of the research
Those who own immovable property in Turkey;
Official, e-signed/signed and stamped/stamped document (title deed) showing that the residence belongs to the person
Those who arrive for business purposes:
Invitation letters or similar documents from persons or companies to be contacted [If necessary, supporting information and documents may be requested by conducting research on persons or companies (notarized company activity certificate, notarized tax plate, notarized trade registry newspaper, notary approved signature circular)]
Those participating in in-service training programs
Document showing the duration and location of the training to be received from public institutions or organizations where in-service training will take place (e-signed/signed and stamped/stamped document on letterhead)
Those who will be trained for internship purposes within the framework of exchange programs
Training/internship certificate to be received from institutions or organizations where the training/internship will take place (e-signed/signed and sealed/stamped document)
Those who wish to stay for tourism purposes:
Information or document regarding travel plan and accommodation place upon request of the administration
Those who transfer from family residence permit to short-term residence permit:
Submission of original copy of previous residence permit (photocopy attached to application documents)
Information and documents about the reason for short-term residence:

Court decision on divorce (court decision in case of divorce from a Turkish citizen at the end of 3 years or more; court decision stating that the person is a victim of domestic violence without the condition of being married for 3 years)

Death certificate of the sponsor (If these documents have obtained from Turkish Authorities they must be e-signed/signed and stamped/sealed; if obtained from foreign countries, they must apostilled and have notary public certified translations.)
Those who intend to receive medical treatment:
A document from the public or private hospitals in which the treatment is going to be registered and the treatment is started. (Indication of the duration of the treatment, signed and stamped/sealed by the chief physician and a physician)
Request of administrative authorities:
Document relate to the person's reason of stay, e-signed/signed and stamped/sealed by the administrative authorities (the period of stay must be specified as not to exceed the periods of Law no. 6458)
Request of Legal Authorities:
Document relate to the person's reason of stay, e-signed/signed and stamped/sealed by the legal authorities (the period of stay must be specified as not to exceed the periods of Law no. 6458)
Decision of Legal Authorities:
Decision relate to the person's reason of stay, e-signed/signed and stamped/sealed by the legal authorities (the period of stay must be specified as not to exceed the periods of Law no. 6458
Those who completed their higher education and apply within 6 months:
The original and photocopy of the diploma and provisional graduation certificate
Training under agreements:
Training/internship certificate to be received from institutions or organizations where the training/internship will take place (e-signed/signed and sealed/stamped document
Those who attend a Turkish course:
e-signed/signed and stamped/sealed document received by the institution and organization authorized to teach Turkish courses
Those who participate in education, research, internships and courses through public institutions:
A document received by the institution or organization of the education, research, internships and courses (e-signed/signed and sealed/stamped document).
