Work Permit for Household Services
In order to employ foreigners in household services, it is compulsory to obtain a work permit from the Ministry of Labor and Social Security by completing the necessary legal procedures.
In order to employ foreigners in household services and workplaces, the foreign work permit criteria of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security should be met.
Work Permit in Education Sector
Foreigners who want to work as teachers in education and training institutions in our country must first obtain the equivalence certificate of the school diploma from which they graduated and then apply to the Ministry of National Education along with this certificate and obtain the pre-permit certificate (Professional Competence Certificate).
In order to obtain a work permit for foreign teachers, the documents requested from them and the documents requested from the institution they work in may vary.
Work Permit in Health Sector
The equivalence of diplomas or certificates of the foreign health care professionals who want to work in Turkey is required and the equivalence must be registered by the Ministry of Health. These people should not have any obstacles for them to practice their professions and must have at least B level Turkish knowledge according to TÖMER standards.
Foreign health care professionals must also obtain a work permit from the Ministry of Health.
In order to obtain a work permit for the foreign health care professionals, the documents requested from them and the documents requested from the institution they work in may vary.
The private health institutions that will employ foreigners need to obtain an Activity Permit from the Provincial Directorate of Health.
Facilities in Tourism Sector
For foreigners to be employed in jobs requiring expertise and mastership by tourism enterprises, entertainment sector, tourism-animation organization companies certified by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, if at least ten (10) Turkish citizens are employed, the quota for the employment of five (5) Turkish citizens is applied for each foreigner.
Work permits may be obtained to a maximum of two foreigners without being subject to the work permit criteria in the certified or non-certified tourism establishments (small businesses such as hairdressers, jewelers, places selling leather, carpets, textile sales, etc.).
Work Permit in Other Sectors
It is compulsory to obtain a work permit for the employment of foreign personnel in the workplaces.
It is compulsory to employ at least five Turkish citizens in the workplace where the work permit is requested. If a work permit is requested for more than one foreigner in the same workplace, the employment of five Turkish citizens is sought separately for each foreigner after the first foreigner who obtained work permit.
In case the foreigner requesting permission is a partner of the company, the employment requirement of five persons shall be sought for the last six months of the one-year work permit given by the Ministry.
The full paid capital stock of the workplace must be at least 100,000 TL, gross sales must be at least 800,000 TL or the final export amount must be at least USD 250,000.
Work Permit in Entertainment Sector
Foreigner personnel can be employed in the entertainment sector. It is compulsory to obtain a work permit for foreign personnel to be employed. One of the most important points should be the Operation Permit of the workplace obtained from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
In addition to this, foreign personnel must have a letter of recommendation in Turkish certified by a sworn translator or official authorities.
